I was making up the missed fasting last year before going into the new one, and oh my, this delicious Souffle pancake makes me drool! It's time to reveal that jiggly puff and share my thoughts about it with you.
It's tea time! |
The history of Fuwa Fuwa Pancake or fluffy Soufflé Pancake is easy to find, thanks to Fuwa Fuwa, I managed to understand about the airy pancakes.
Basically, Fuwa Fuwa means "fluffy fluffy" in Japanese, and it's traditionally served after weddings to symbolise good fortune!
I opted for Original Fuwa Fuwa Pancake, a basic or a first timer choice who wanted to get a glimpse of the light pancake. Might need to come back for another three options! By the way, the pancake was served with cream and pancake syrup and priced at RM18.
Look at that cream and pancake! |
Fluffiness detected! |
Expensive? Well, I admit that, but you never know you love it until you try it. Being adventurous with my fiance, he was also quite surprised by the fluffiness of the pancake too.
Definitely not your regular pancakes. First, you need to wait for 20 minutes (minimum), but since we went there during weekdays, the preparation time was enough for me to hold my excitement of that bounciness. I totally get it because Souffle is not easy to work with, so I appreciate every single thing that makes the pancakes rising up to what it supposed to achieve.

Control the sweetness by yourself. |
While waiting, it's great to order some tea, juice or coffee to calm you down. We ordered Chamomile Blossom for RM12, and it comes with two cups so, you won't have to share with your other half. But, I might need to try the coffee once I go back there again since it's their speciality.
Not your regular pancakes, the first bite taste light and sweet at the same time. Not too overly sweet, just lovely and the sweetness can add up with the syrup. The cream adds another texture to the fluffiness, makes me discovered a new world of pancakes.
I ask the staff for the confirmation about the pancake status. |
Overall, it was a good pancake, but if you don't like the taste of not too overwhelming egg, add that syrup, and it will get rid of it. It's a remarkable discovery for dessert, and I hope that I can get to try Fuwa Fuwa Pancake with Soft Serve soon!
The restaurant is huge, I love the ambience and the aesthetic, felt so calm! By the way, you need to pay for parking around this area yea! |
