I would say 'Halal' is a sensitive topic to Muslim in Malaysia especially when it comes to food. Well, I'm not making this becoming more controversial but I just want to tell you all the information that I gained before heading there and share my thoughts after visiting the restaurant. Totally not a sponsored post, I'm just a normal girl talking about food. So, what do you have in mind when people ask you about Omurice? Here's my answer for you.
If you love Nasi Goreng Pattaya, I'm pretty sure you are going to love the fluffy Omurice originated from Japan. The key ingredients of the fusion would be rice and eggs! But, you will get surprised by the lovely gooey texture after slicing it up.
I know it was hard to perfect the art of cooking an Omurice because you need to get a clean, shiny and yellow cooked eggs. By the way, I have tried it in Japan once and that makes me curious how would it taste like in Malaysia. Would it be good as it is?
I went to Omulab after spending the day at Arts & Lights Play. Nuriy and I were starving that we actually ran out of patience to look out for parking here. I would say parking is limited at night. So, make sure to grab your sit in the morning.

I'm drooling by just looking at the menu. |
WHICH ONE THAT WE TRIED?
1. Omu Omu Rice - RM 22.90
2. Omu Kare - RM 18.90
WHAT DO WE THINK?
Both of the dishes are absolutely great. I actually like Japanese curry more than any other curry, it was too sweet not too spicy just nice and I called it a classic Japanese curry. For me, as I ordered Omu Kare, it was really delicious dishes but I recommend you to eat while hot.
Same goes to Nuriy dish, Omu Omu Rice. Because there is blue cheese on the plate, you need to eat it faster to enjoy the delicacies. She loves her food and that brought up her Japanese blood into an exciting venture.
Between those two, I would recommend you to try the classic Omu Kare first before anything else. From basic, then you can taste the differences between other omu rice.
We didn't order any drinks because they provide a warm water in a bottle, which is really convenient for people who just want to enjoy the rice. Overall, I would absolutely pay a visit again and try their other menu like desserts, yakisoba and their premium Uji Matcha, Hojicha & Sakura.
